‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.’ Ephesians 1v3
This year has been unlike any other year in the history of RLBC, virtually everything has changed, but our God is still the same faithful, lavish, generous, gracious Father. Every year our thank offering gives us the opportunity to thank our Lord for how great he is and respond by investing in his kingdom, and despite all that has happened this year, we still want to thank God. This offering is a tradition here at RLBC – the idea being that it happens once a year (around our anniversary), is entirely voluntary, and is on top of our normal giving.
I would like to invite you to participate in the Thank Offering to celebrate the 86th Anniversary of our Church. To assist in your prayerful consideration a list of the ministries supported last year are shown overleaf. RLBC also supports a variety of Mission organisations, such as Home Mission and BMS World Mission. We only send to charities regularly supported by the church.
If you would like any further information on any of these ministries please speak to me, Celia or any Deacon. Please make your gift by online banking, CAF Donate or by cheque. Full details on how to give by any of these methods is included below. Please make your donation to the Thank Offering by 31st October.
Gift Aid – Gift Aid tax benefits may substantially increase your gift. However, if you wish to give personal support to a missionary, it may be more beneficial to them if gift aid is not claimed. In such circumstances your gift may be directed to the individual, as opposed to the relevant mission agency. Further information on supported charities and Gift Aid can be obtained from Peter Davis or Celia Clark.
We recall the sacrificial commitment of the folk who got the work started here at RLBC; of those who carried it forward; and now our fellow believers of today, who continue the work both here and elsewhere. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity – may we be joyful givers.
Yours sincerely,
John Smuts, Pastor
