Thursday 26th March 2020

The AGM which was due to take place on Sunday at 12pm has been cancelled.

Sunday Services and Church@12.

Please keep following our daily devotions at 12pm. There will be another ‘virtual’ service at 11am on Sunday. Use the comments section (or send in emails) to share prayer requests or encouraging stories. We understand that some are not able to access content through Facebook and so Arun is working hard on a way for you to view it directly from the RLBC website. In the meantime, all the broadcasts are available on the website menu under Video Broadcasts – follow the drop down menus.

We are seeing if we can record sermons onto CDs for those who don’t have a computer and are missing out. If you know of someone who owns a CD player (but can’t access the internet) and would benefit from this please email the Church Office.

Tuesday 24th March 2020

The Church Office is now closed following the statement from the Prime Minister Last night. Please do not come to the church for any reason. If you are shut in and need help then please call 020 8868 6772 and we will do our best to find a volunteer to help. If you can be a volunteer to pick up medicines or do a shopping run then please also contact us by phone.

Facebook Livestream

We will be livestreaming again on Facebook Live at 12pm. If you have prayer requests or stories to share then please leave comments on the RLBC Facebook page or email to the office. As the moment the only way to access the devotions live at 12pm is via Facebook. However, they will be uploaded to the church website every evening where there is an option on the menu of ‘Video Broadcast’ and you then go to ‘Church@12’. All the episodes will be stored there for you to watch at leisure. Likewise the weekly sermons!

Monday 23rd March 2020

Starting today, we are trialling a short (10-15 min) Bible Reading and Prayer slot at 12pm each day. Join us on Facebook Live for this – you don’t have to have a Facebook account to view – just click here.

5pm update – it seems that the Live version doesn’t show without an account, but you should be able to view it as described here as soon as it ends – around 12.15pm. We are also looking to upload the videos to the RLBC website later on in each day – bear with us as we get to grips with all this technology!

For further guidance how to view on Facebook try this!

Thursday 19th March 2020

As a result of government advice we have decided to cancel all church meetings until further notice.

A detailed document has been emailed out to church contacts. Please contact the office if you have not received this or would like a printed copy.

Here are the key points:

  1. No church meetings until the government changes their advice – DO NOT come to church on Sunday
  2. From this Sunday we will be live-streaming a service at 11am only. More details to come.
  3. The Church Office is going to be open 9am – 3pm (Mon-Fri), for you to call for advice. (020 8868 6772)
  4. We are raising a team of volunteers to help those who have to self-isolate. Call the Church Office and we will try out best. Please do not call before Monday 23rd March in order to give us time to build up a base of volunteers. And even then please be patient – we will do our best…whatever that is!
  5. AGM is postponed (but we still plan to send out the papers for you to read)

Please continue to pray for the UK that the Lord will use this crisis for his glory.
