OUR
VISION
As members of Rayners Lane Baptist Church we seek to glorify God:
 |
in worship which is both reverent and joyful, reflecting His
greatness and His love; |
 |
in bringing others to repentance and personal faith in the
Lord Jesus Christ by our public proclamation of the gospel in a clear and relevant way, and by our personal
testimony, witness and service; |
 |
in continually building one another up in the knowledge and
love of God, primarily by the exposition and studying of the Bible;
|
 |
in supporting by our prayers and financial giving missionary
activity in this country and in other parts of the world;
|
 |
in loving our neighbours as ourselves and living our lives in
ways which are pleasing to Him.
|
In all these things we take the Bible, God’s written word, as
our sure guide and supreme authority.
 |
|
What is the chief
end of man?
To glorify God and enjoy him forever.

The Gospel is
good news of mercy to the undeserving. The
symbol of the religion of Jesus is the cross,
not the scales.
John R. W. Stott (1921)

Galatians
5:22-23

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithful-ness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law.
Psalm
86:12

I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my
heart; I will glorify your name for ever.
