OUR
VALUES
We aim to be passionate about Christ and about
becoming more like Him. We believe we are called to be a
fellowship characterised by :
 |
GODLINESS with a joyful commitment to God’s standards. |
 |
GRACE shown in generosity and trust, in allowing space to
grow…and to make mistakes! … a fellowship of mercy and
forgiveness. We believe in affirmation with integrity, and in
love which is patient, gentle, accepting and encouraging. |
 |
INTEGRITY – as individuals and a fellowship we are not
perfect, but we want to be transparent. |
 |
UNITY AND PEACE as all kinds of people respond to the call of
God. We believe in peace with righteousness and truth. Difficult
processes are at times necessary to accomplish this. |
 |
CLEAR PURPOSE as we obey Christ’s command to make disciples
of all nations. We are committed to becoming better equipped to
do God’s work. |
 |
WHOLENESS as we seek a transformation of people and society
through the power of God. The responsibility to proclaim the
Good News is not divorced from genuine concern and appropriate
action to alleviate distress and to promote truth and justice. |
 |
SERVANT LEADERSHIP which refuses to abuse power, listens and
gives consideration to all, relying on God for wisdom. |
 |
HUMILITY which acknowledges that we have a long way to go in
our journey with Christ, and a lot to learn. |
 |
REPENTANCE as although we aim to be Christ-like, we are
conscious that at times we fail in this. This is serious and
should lead to continuing change. |
 |
VALUING OUR HISTORY as we rejoice in past relationships and
work. |
 |
OPENNESS to new ways of working and to new relationships,
albeit with proper evaluation. |
