Gina and Petrica worshipped at Rayners Lane Baptist Church for
some years while studying at London Bible College. They came to
us from First Baptist Church Timisoara where Petrica is now the
senior pastor. Pray for Petrica who is
very
busy with his responsibilities of leading a congregation of over
1000 and give thanks for the way in which the church is growing.
LATEST NEWS LETTER fromGBINA and PETRICA
Dear Friends,
It has been a long time since we managed to give
you an update on our family, please accept our apologies for
that. Our life is very hectic and the days are far too short for
all the things that need to be done, but even when we do not
write, you are often in our minds and hearts, and we thank God
for blessing us with such special friends. Please allow us to
share you a few things that are going on in our lives.
Petrica is very busy at church, so the
rest of the family rarely gets to see him during the day. Apart
from the usual pastoral and administrative problems that come
with the job, he felt led more and more to emphasize in his
preaching and personal life a constant preoccupation with
holiness and conformity to Christ's image and call. Please pray
that God's Spirit will accomplish His purpose both in his
personal life and in His church. Petrica is also very aware of a
deep need in our church for trained people that can take over
some of the ministry tasks. As a result, he started and oversees
a mentoring and discipleship ministry among the men, continues
to support and teach at the Missions School in our church that
he began over a year ago and very enthusiastically trains in
Homiletics a group of 10 young preachers. Pre-marital
counselling still occupies a priority on his agenda and with
God's help will organize a marriage encounter camp for families
for our church this August. On a more personal level, he is
often tired but never for too long discouraged, and keeps
praying for increased immunity which has never been a problem in
the past but now it seems to fail him. Please pray for Petrica:
for wisdom and authority for the Holy Spirit in matters related
to church government; for good health and increased immunity;
for greater personal discipline in arranging his schedule so
that his activities will not take too much of the time that he
feels should be dedicated to prayer and study; for greater
discernment in selecting the priorities in the ministry. Pray
also for our family unit, that in spite of a very busy schedule
we can find time to be just a family and enjoy the very little
time we have left for just the four of us, bofore the kids leave
home.
