Colin and Joy
Densham: Retired from Africa Inland Mission, Kenya
Colin and Joy worshipped at Rayners
Lane while Colin was studying for an MA at London Bible College
(now LST). They have worked for the Africa Inland Mission in
Kenya for many years, principally at
Moffat College of the Bible in
Kijabe. They lived in Nairobi
where Colin was the Personnel Co-ordinator for the Africa Inland
Church (AIC) and the pastor of their church at Milimani.

We are now well settled in Wigston and life in
the East Midlands. We remain busy, who doesn’t!!
Joy
travels down to Reading every
other week to help care for her mother. She usually goes by
train, but every now and again we both drive down so that Colin
can help with various maintenance things etc. Most Thursdays she
goes across to Coventry to look after two delightful grandsons –
at least they usually are, but they are boys! This enables our
daughter Gillian to continue part-time physiotherapy work. Joy,
with three others, is responsible for the leadership of the
women’s ministry in Little Hill Church, the church we attend.
Colin is out
preaching most Sundays – sometimes twice on a Sunday, so doesn’t
see much of Little Hill at weekends. There are many small
churches in Leicester and the county which are unable to support
a pastor, so rely on visiting preachers for their ministry.
Colin is happy to be involved in this way, in a ministry that
continues to grow. There are a few churches further a field that
he also visits from time to time. Two very successful hip
replacements this year have made life much easier for him.
Please Pray for:
Pray for us both for wisdom and
strength, and health, as we serve the Lord here in the
Midlands

The population of Kenya is
estimated to be just over 39 million. (July
2010)

The flag of Kenya consists of
three horizontal stripes - the top stripe is
black; the middle one is red; and the bottom
stripe is green. The red stripe in the middle is
bordered on the top and bottom by a thin white
stripe. There is an emblem in the center of the
flag that consists of a Masai warrior's shield
and spears
Kenya

Situated on the equator on Africa's east coast,
Kenya has been described as "the cradle of
humanity". With its scenic beauty and abundant
wildlife, Kenya is one of Africa's major safari
destinations.
